Did you know that some cable and internet providers offer email services as part of their plans? However, these services can change hands and be renamed, leaving you with outdated 'legacy' emails. While providers try their best to maintain these emails, it becomes increasingly challenging as their service offerings evolve.
That's where SaveMyService comes to the rescue!
Email Bundled as Part of Another Service
Free Email
With the disconnection of ATM/DSL and other internet offerings, the bundles from Velocity will no longer be available. Your current email domain (ex. Usfamily.net) and mailbox is being transferred to SaveMyService so we can continue to provide email service for your current email address.
Because the bundle is no longer available, there will be a nominal annual charge $30.00 (basic email) to provide you with this service. By continuing to use your current email address, you will avoid needing to update all your internet accounts subscribed with your current email. Also, you will avoid any confusion and lost emails from others who communicate with you via your current address.
When you sign-up to continue your email with SaveMyService, we will contact you with information on when we will transfer your email service, including all your current emails and attachments in that email box. Also, we will include information for instructions on how to access your email in a new location. If you are using a local client, like Outlook, we will include instructions on where to access your email.
We will not charge the annual fee until your mailbox has been moved to the SaveMyService email platform.

SaveMyService is a new division of Exactpoint Technologies, a consultancy company working in the telecom industry for over fifteen years. The employees of SaveMyService each have over 25 years of experience working with Email, Internet, Phone Service, Hosting and DNS technologies. You can count on accountability and reliability in transitioning and supporting your services long-term.
SaveMyService has information on the SaveMyService site where you can review providers and service packages. If you sign-up for SaveMyService to help place your internet order, they can get the ball rolling by checking for your desired service in the requested provider’s area and confirming your order with you. Once you’ve confirmed, they will place your order and your new internet provider will be in touch with you to schedule installation.
“Voice over IP” (VoIP) refers to a technology that allows users to make phone calls over the internet, essentially using a broadband connection instead of traditional phone lines to transmit voice communication digitally; it stands for “Voice over Internet Protocol” and enables calls through a computer, smartphone, or dedicated VoIP phone, depending on the service provider. There are many reasons for it’s popularity. It is often cheaper than standard telephone service, can be bundled with your internet service, and can offer many more features, like voice mail and call forwarding, with software rather than additional devices.
The standard telephone service through a “twisted copper pair” has been the standard for many decades. However, advances in Internet and wireless technology has catapulted Voice over IP (VoIP) to be a better alternative. Unless you have some extreme requirements for “twisted pair” telephone service, like medical devices that only use standard telephone, we do recommend VoIP through your internet provider. SaveMyService can understand your requirements for voice services and recommend the current services that best meet your needs.
Currently your email box(s) is part of a product bundle. However, Vexus Fiber will no longer be offering email services and therefore not able to include in a bundle for free. Vexus Fiber is recommending SaveMyService to provide continued support for your current email box(s) since they are discontinuing email services beyond April 1st,2025. If you choose to establish an email address with an alternative service provider other than SaveMyService, you will no longer be able to use the email address you use today. Your email domain (examples: usfamily.net, nts-online.net) is being transferred to SaveMyService. If you would like to keep your current email address, you can sign up with SaveMyService. By opting in, you won’t need to inform anyone of a new email address and you won’t need to update your internet accounts (for example, Amazon, Netflix, WalMart, etc.) with your new address. Yes, there are free emails out there and you can get one. When you use a free email client like Google or Microsoft, they use the content of the emails you receive and send to feed their search algorithms. This drives individual accuracy in their online advertising business (Google Ads), however has a direct impact on privacy. How an individual feels about this email model differs, however, having a paid email account is a way to ensure your email content is not used for alternate business purposes.
Depending on your current products and pricing, you may see a nominal difference in price for the services you are paying for. For cases where you are receiving free services as part of a bundle, with your sign-up, we will be moving you to SaveMyService’s equivalent service for their standard price. For example, basic email is $2.50/month/address billed annually. Since your email service is no longer part of a bundle and now a la carte, SaveMyService needs to charge for the service.

This date is May 1st, 2025 (Vexus customers) or May 15th, 2025 (Velocity customers).
